Inspired by natural forms and phenomena and our human relationship with the environment, my artwork is based on an intuitive response in colour and composition. Using a variety of paint and techniques I emulate organic pattern, often with abstract elements.
My aim is to capture moments of connection with the countryside in a contemporary way. Through my previous five year residency at the Pound Arts Centre in Corsham, I investigated the links between environment, creativity and wellbeing. I currently work from my new studio in Slaughterford, at the Old Paper Mill, deep in the Wiltshire countryside.
I studied Art and Aesthetics (fine art, with philosophy and history of art) at the University of Wales Institute Cardiff, and gained my BA Hons Degree in 2003.
I have experience running a wide range of creative workshops for all ages and working with several local charities, specialising in working with older adults.
